Need some excitement in your life, if so then this is the trek for you. Leave Vientiane in the morning and travel to the jungle adventure site where you will be able to experience life as a monkey. The activities on offer at the Jungle Fly adventure site include zip lining, abseiling and rope walking.

Traversing the Phou Khao Khouay National Protected Area, the trail follows the Nam Leuk River. The trek starts at the Tad Leuk Waterfall in the southeast of the National Park and ends at the southern tip of the Nam Ngum Lake, where the Nam Leuk Reservoir

This easy trek takes the passionate walker into the elephant forests of the Phou Khao Khouay National Protected Area (NPA). Of the two herds known to inhabit this NPA, one has quite recently chosen to roam the bamboo thickets nearby the village of Ban Na.

To protect the wild elephant herds and to compensate the villagers for the occassional damage caused by these great beasts, a community-based tourism scheme was introduced. Trained local guides lead the visitors to very remote sites within the forests of this Nature reserve, just over an hour away from Vientiane.
