Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
We takes the following measures to try and minimize their impact on the local environment:
- Family Hotel installed key tags in all guest rooms to help minimise excessive and unnecessary use of electricity, especially high polluting and high energy consuming appliances such as air conditioning units when guests are not in their rooms. By staying at the Family Hotel and using the key tags properly, you and the property are helping to reduce the world's energy consumption and HCFC emissions from air conditioning units.
- Family Hotel only changes bedding linen on request. Reduces the impact on the environment by reducing cleaning materials and costs, hotels with this policy reduce the amount of harsh cleaning chemicals and detergents, water and energy that is used on an annual basis.
- Family Hotel uses Power Saving Light Bulbs using up to 80% less electricity than the standard light bulb, also reducing carbon dioxide emissions and thereby reducing the impact on the environment.
