The Long Ngum View Resort is located at the base of the hills surrounding the Ngam Ngum Lake about one and a half hours drive from Vientiane on the way to Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang.

To get to the Long Ngum View Resort there are a couple of ways.

By Local Bus: Local buses leave from the Thalat Sao Bus station to Thalad which is the largest town nearest to the Ngam Ngum Lake. From Thalad ask a tuk tuk to take you the final way to the Long Ngum View Resort.

By private car: Drive north on route 13 until you get to Phonhong, then turn right at the main roundabout in the direction of Thalad. When you reach Thalad drive straight through the town towards the Ngam Ngum Lake and once you reach the Lake turn right and follow the road as it swings around the side. You will see the Long Ngum View Resort nestled at the bottom of the hills surrounding the lake on the right hand side.

There is also a shuttle bus available for a small extra charge that leaves from the Vientiane office of the Long Ngum View Resort. Please ask for details.
