The Phoungchampa Hotel, formerly the Intha Hotel, is a new 3 storey building located in the centre of Vientiane. Only a ten minute drive to the airport and within easy walking distance to temples, the Mekong river, tour agents, restaurants, bakeries and bars. With a vaguely Chinese-style design, the Phoungchampa Hotel is simply decorated, bright, colourful and clean.
The rooms are of standard size and are simply decorated as is most of the hotel. There is no lift but a wooden staircase that takes you up to the second and third floors. Due to the nature of the building the windows in most of the rooms open on to the buildings on either side. Only the rooms at the front of the building have a view on to the road in front of the hotel.

The facilities are slightly limited in the hotel itself but close around there are all the restaurants and tour agents that you could possible need. There is a communal seating are in the lobby with free Wi-Fi and a computer with internet access for those who don’t travel with their laptops. There is no restaurant per se but the hotel offers breakfast.
