Sengtawan Riverside Hotel

Buffet breakfast is self-seating at tables out on the deck overlooking the Mekong River. Breakfast here is a very refreshing way to start the day, with the warm sun and good food. A good variety of hot and cold, Asian and western food is available. On offer was fresh juices, coffee, toast, cereal, fruits as well as omelets, Lao breakfast baguette, fried rice and various other delectables.

Thai massage services are also available in the hotel. The magnificent view bar and restaurant boast the best sunset views over the Mekong. The terrace was certainly beautifully situated and would be a great place to relax and unwind. They also serve breakfast in the same place. Sengawan Riverside Hotel is set back down the Mekong away from the buzz of central Vientiane which makes for a pleasant but also poorly lit walk back from town at night. There is a live music bar open just diagonal from the hotel for anyone wanting some entertainment close by. There is always at least one tuk-tuk outside to whisk you wherever you need to go if you prefer not to walk.
